Error0000000200000005InitializingIoDriver

Error0000000200000005InitializingIoDriver Yesterday I was trying to install an IoT device on my Windows computer, and encountered this error message. It made me wonder if anyone actually knows what it means. After digging for hours, I found the answer on Microsoft’s website: “New devices aren’t setup to automatically install drivers on first use or on first reboot after installation. If you would like us to automatically search for compatible drivers, then please contact your hardware manufacturer." This is concerning because my IoT device is not affiliated with any company that manufactures hardware, so I don't know who the "us" mentioned in the message is. Fortunately, there's something you can do to get around this requirement. The solution will involve the regedit command, which is used to edit the Windows Registry file that manages your computer's system settings. Here are the steps I used to get my IoT device up and running on my Windows machine: 1) Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard. 2) Type 'regedit' in the run box and press enter. This will open the Registry Editor application. Now navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services 3) Double click on "SCSIAdapter" in the left pane of the Registry Editor application. 4) You will now see a list of registry keys. Click on the "AAM" key, then double click on "DeviceInit" in the right pane to change its value. 5) Change DeviceInit's value from 0 to 2, and then close Registry Editor. Reboot your computer and you're done!
